Thermal simulation from chip to equipment level
Detailed Modeling and Simulation
Electronic equipment and components are sensitive to excessive temperatures, regardless of whether the heat is generated by the equipment itself or by external influences.
It is therefore vital to include electronics cooling right from the start when developing new equipment or planning data centers or server rooms.
We offer you tailored software solutions which enable you to carry out comprehensive tests and simulations right from the earliest development stage – simply but reliably.
To gain an insight into the topics
- WHEN is the best time to use such simulation software?
- WHAT levers do I have for optimising my cooling strategy?
- If I am interested in an order simulation – HOW does this work?
- See CelsiusEC LIVE and clarify all questions about the software.
We regularly offer free webinars. These offer you concentrated knowledge in 45 minutes each and only cost you your valuable time.

CelsiusEC – smart Equipment Simulation
CelsiusEC is a CFD software tailored for the development of electronic devices. It enables the developer to predict the thermal challenges and to check the resulting solution concepts simulatively, from PCB conception through CAD-based enclosure design to the virtual prototype. Such specialised software continues to evolve through annual releases. Mostly, customers’ functional wishes or functional requirements of new markets are the innovation drivers for the software manufacturer.
Celsius EC user – required knowledge
Physical background on the subject of electronics cooling, i.e. knowledge of heat flows via heat conduction, convection and radiation. Understanding of the function of fans and the relationship of the fan operating point to the pressure drop in a device. Basic knowledge of a bit of material science and thermodynamics. This knowledge is imparted in approx. 1-2 days.
Simulation knowledge, i.e. what is behind the numerical method, what is the significance of the meshing and how is a CAD model with all the associated electronic details and power loss carriers implemented in such a tool for the solver. What results can be generated and how are the result graphics to be interpreted and used for optimisation. Another important part is the correct modelling in the simulation tool. One should learn to build correct thermal substitute models, which on the one hand reflect the thermal characteristics of an electronic component according to the data sheet, and on the other hand also describe detailed PCB layouts physically in such a way that many nodes in the solution grid are omitted. These details can be learned from an experienced trainer in approx. 1-2 additional days.

Training
Knowing what matters
As specialists in electronics cooling, we not only sell software, we also know how to use it efficiently and successfully and can share our knowledge with you.
In bespoke workshops and training courses we teach your engineers, developers and IT specialists the skills they need to use the CelsiusEC software. In addition we also offer individual training courses, based on the customer’s own product data.
So that you and your staff are always up-to-date on electronics cooling.
You can find out more about our training opportunities here.
Would you like to test Celsius EC?
In order to use your time efficiently, we offer so-called ‘compact courses’ at regular intervals. These offer you a free online insight (2h) into CelsiusEC.
Based on the usual training materials for our 8h online training (1,500€ flat rate for up to 5 people), we have condensed the content to 2h. This is no substitute for high-quality training. But it makes it much easier to start a test phase
You can find more information and dates for the compact seminar here!
